Broadway and cabaret star Yvonne Constant will return to Danny's Skylight Room on November 8th at 7 PM with her show "La Chanson Realiste: Paris in the Twenties." The evening will feature musical direction by Russ Kassoff.

"Constant will sing love songs popular in France between the World Wars. Some of these songs were initially sung by Marlene Dietrich, Mistinguett, and Josephine Baker, and later reprised in America by Louis Armstrong, Louis Prima, Bing Crosby and Fanny Brice, among others. The program will consist of songs in both French and English."

Yvonne Constant came to America from Paris with the cast of La Plume de Ma Tante, winning a Tony Award for her first featured role on Broadway. She also appeared on Broadway in No Strings and The Gay Life, and "became one of Johnny Carson's favorite guests with a record 45 guest appearances on 'The Tonight Show.'"
